17th Annual Educational Symposium

We invite you to join us for our 17^th Annual Educational Symposium, on October 4-5, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Cabana located in Palo Alto, California (the "Hotel").  This in-person meeting is a unique opportunity to meet, learn from, and network with the best minds in sleep medicine.    

Continuing Sleep Technology Education (CSTE)

This program has been approved for a maximum of 13.25 contact hours Continuing Sleep Technology Education (CSTE) credit by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, 4201 Wilson Blvd., 3rd Floor, Arlington, VA 22203. Course # 575P1623. Program Approval # 711569. Technologists and Sleep Clinicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Continuing Dental Education (CDE)

CSS is a Dental Board of California Registered Education Provider (RP6035). One unit of credit for each hour of class instruction with a maximum of eight hours per day will be offered.

Shipping/Receiving Instructions

Due to limited storage and associated liabilities, the Crowne Plaza Cabaña Hotel Palo Alto cannot accept large material or equipment shipments any sooner than three (3) business days prior to the meeting. Therefore, if necessary, please make arrangements with your shipping company to receive and store each items and have them delivered to the facility no earlier than 72 hours prior to the event.

When sending shipments to the hotel, please include the name and dates of the event, guest name and your name on the shipping label.

Shipping rates are as follows and will be applied to your credit card:

$3 per piece/regardless of size

$150 per pallet of up to 50 boxes

All unlabeled and unclaimed items will be discarded seven days following completion of your event.

Due to fire regulations and limited storage space, the following maximums have been placed on package acceptance:

• No more than 15 packages may be accepted for storage by the hotel.
• Hotel will not accept package prior to 72 hours prior to the group’s arrival date.
• The maximum with for any package to be stored by hotel is 50 pounds.

The meeting will begin at 8:00am on Friday, October 4 and conclude at approximately 4:45pm on Saturday, October 5.  Sponsor/exhibitor set-up will be available for a limited time Thursday evening (7:00pm-8:30pm) and Friday morning starting at 7:00am. 

Friday evening will include a hosted bar, dinner, and entertainment.

**The discounted room rate is no longer available. The current nightly room rate is $219 &+ tax. Kindly contact Jenna Rule (Sales & Catering Coordinator) for assistance (jenna.rule@cabanapaloalto.com). A credit card authorization form is required to guarantee your reservation.**

We have secured a room block at the Hotel.  The discounted room rate ($169 + tax) will be available until 3:00pm on September 6, 2024, or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.

• Check-in and check-out:  Check-in time is 3:00pm; check-out time is 12:00pm.  To guarantee an early check-in, rooms must be secured the night before.  Should guests arrive early, the Hotel may not have a room ready prior to the 3:00pm check-in time.
• Parking:  Parking is complimentary.

There is no local area shuttle available at the Hotel. Neither Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) nor San Francisco International Airport (SFO) offer shuttles to the Hotel.

The Hotel is located at 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, California. The Hotel is a full-service hotel in the center of Silicon Valley. The Venue is located near Stanford University, Stanford Hospital, NASA Ames Research Center, and the beautiful Gamble Garden. 

If you need to cancel your registration, please inform us via email as soon as possible.  If your cancellation request is received by September 1, 2024, we will refund your initial payment less a $25 cancellation fee.  If your cancellation request is received by September 20, 2024, we will automatically transfer your registration payment to the CSS 18th Annual Educational Symposium to be held in 2025.
